My name is David A. Cutting and I am a professional Children's book Illustrator, Character Designer, Animator, and Story Artist.



My 20 year career is currently credited with over 100 illustrated children’s picture books, novelty books, board books, coloring & activity books, educational workbooks and children's licensing. My client list includes Simon & Schuster, Golden Books, Pearsons, Modern Publishing, Kappa Books, Hasbro, Son Schein Press, Parachute Press, Robert Frederick, Twin Sisters, Flowerpot, Landoll and Bendon Publishing. 



In addition to creating various illustration art styles, I have successfully illustrated many popular licenses, including: Angry Birds Classic, Angry Birds Space, Bad Piggies, Lala-Loopsies, Lala-Oopsies, Fisher Price, Veggie Tales, Holly Hobbie, Backyardigans, Tiny Planets, John Deere, Eebee, The wiggles, and Blue's Clues. I have developed and designed several mass market series with my wife Carol, poet and writer, for US and UK publishers.



As a professional Animator, Story Artist & Designer I have held studio positions as a Senior Animator on Nickelodeon’s award winning hit series Blue’s Clues and as a Designer and Story Artist on Disney’s hit series Brand New Spankin' Doug. I have animated & designed projects for MTV, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Curious Pictures, Cowboys & Aliens, Ben Hillman & Company, Ink Tank & Marvel.



I have a BFA with honors in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts NYC 1994
